This January, I was honored to be offered a PhD position at the Royal College of Music, the world’s No.1 conservatoire—a place where tradition meets innovation.

Beyond the prestige, this PhD is an opportunity to push the boundaries of opera and AI-driven performance—exploring how technology can actively shape live storytelling, emotion, and interaction on stage. This research isn’t just theoretical; it’s about building the next generation of performance experiences.

Under the supervision of Professor Mark Bowden, I’ll be working alongside leading composers, technologists, and performers—collaborating at the highest level to redefine what’s possible in contemporary opera.

More to come soon as this journey begins.
